Hey!
So this is christmas...
I've waited for it quite long, now it's already the time to celebrate christmas and I've got not the real christmas feeling: In fact, I'll have to leave for work soon. Working on Christmas Eve really sucks, I think
In general, I started my civil service on December 1st, the job's not too bad and most of the people I'm working with are nice and open-minded but by now, I've got really crappy working times, almost only night shifts which basically means ten or twelve hours of waiting for something to happen and forcing yourself to keep your eyes open. I hope those taks plans will get more fair the longer I'll be there...
BUT: Another year is almost over and if the next year will be that short, my civil service will be over quite soon
This year was quite special for me in many aspects: I passed my exams enabling me to visit university, I was accepted at universities, I was planning to move away to start study...and due to civil service, I had to cancel everything.
I got a new room, I got my MacBook
, I "really worked" for the first time, earning lots of money (in my eyes) and spent lots of money.
Aaaand of course, this year was a real highlight in terms of travelling around:
In spring, we visited Lake Geneva in Switzerland which was really beautiful and interesting.
In may, I went to Hamburg, a nice city and made one of the most disappointing experiences in my life. Although, I just love that city!
In June visiting
in Malta, experiencing diving, REAL heat, suicidal bus-drivers and the unbelievable Maltese nightlife. It was a cool trip, I'm thankful for it and I'm really looking forward to visit Richard again next year when he'll return to Malta!
Than came the real highlight of the year, our 2-week-journey through California, San Francisco - Los Angeles on the Highway 1. I imagined America would be cool but it was even more than this...it was simply breathtaking, can't wait to get there again!
But still not enough: The last trip of the year brought
and me to London, visiting his sister and trying to take some good photos there...hmm, photos failed unfortunately, but London was a new experience again.
So, what I'd like to say: Thanks to everybody for enabling me this year, after all it was nice
I want to thank everybody for his/her support here on dA and in real life, keep it up the next years!
Thanks so much and I wish all of you a blessed, quiet, peaceful merry christmas and a happy, successful, interesting new life, may some of your dreams come true!
Mads
